The Creator: Marvalous

I was bewitched by flowers in 2023, the first time I saw an anthurium. Strange, sculptural, otherworldly, like an alien heart drifting through space.

I was captivated, and something inside me shifted.

By September 2024, I found my first florist job. Fresh from a move from Florida, surrounded by people who saw me, it became therapy, a way to reconnect with the dreamy, poetic, feminine side I’d almost forgotten. Working with flowers lets me play again, experimenting with color, shape, and movement. Every arrangement is a love letter to my inner child.

Dead Blooms embodies the duality of life: beauty and decay; light and shadow; wonder and the unknown. I am drawn to the thrill of the mysterious, the brush of fear, the quiet invitation of death. All reminders of how alive we are.

Dead Blooms is an altar, a waiting space, a love letter to all the beauty we can soak in before our final ascension.

With reverence,
Marvalous
